Signs You Need This
- You're replacing an old, noisy, or wobbly fan
- You're adding a fan to a room that doesn't already have one wired for it
- Your existing electrical box isn't rated to support a ceiling fan's weight
- You want a fan with a light kit and need the wiring and switch setup handled
What's Involved
Not every ceiling electrical box is rated to hold a fan's weight and motion — we check this first, and install a fan-rated box if needed rather than mounting to something that isn't built for it. From there we wire it, mount it, and balance it so it runs quiet.
If you want separate switch control for the fan and light, we can wire that in as part of the install.
An improperly mounted ceiling fan is one of the more common causes of ceiling damage and noise complaints we see — the fix is almost always a fan-rated box, done right the first time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can any ceiling box hold a fan?
No — fans need a fan-rated electrical box due to the weight and motion. We check this and upgrade the box if needed.
Can you install a fan with separate light and fan switches?
Yes, we can wire it for independent control of the light and fan if your fixture supports it.
Do you install smart/remote-control ceiling fans?
Yes, we handle the wiring for remote and smart ceiling fans as well as standard pull-chain models.
